Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how the Vanguard C4 website and software family—including SkyPilot, GI SCOUT, NORDEN II, and KEYFORGE—handle information. The goal is to collect as little personal information as reasonably necessary and to keep users in control of their data.
1. Website Information
The public website does not intentionally use advertising trackers or sell personal information. The hosting provider may process ordinary technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, browser details, request time, and diagnostic logs.
2. Information You Provide
If you contact Ken Johnson by email, the message, your email address, and any information you include may be retained as needed to answer your request, provide support, maintain records, or protect the service.
3. Software Data
SkyPilot and NORDEN II primarily store user-created information locally in the user’s browser profile or device. GI SCOUT and KEYFORGE may process squadron rosters, callsigns, roles, mission information, synchronization packages, and related operational-planning data when users or squadron managers enable those functions.
4. Microsoft Cloud Synchronization
GI SCOUT and KEYFORGE may use Microsoft Azure services to transfer or synchronize squadron packages. Information placed into a synchronization package may be processed and temporarily stored by Microsoft-hosted infrastructure for delivery. Squadron administrators and users control what they enter and share. Microsoft’s handling of its platform data is governed by Microsoft’s applicable terms and privacy documentation.
5. Donations and Payment Providers
Donations are handled by Buy Me a Coffee or PayPal. Vanguard C4 does not receive or store complete payment-card or bank-account credentials. Those providers may send transaction details such as donor name, email address, amount, and status, subject to their own privacy policies.
6. How Information Is Used
- To operate, secure, maintain, and improve the website and Software
- To provide requested support and respond to messages
- To deliver synchronization services selected by users or squadron managers
- To investigate abuse, failures, or security problems
- To comply with legal obligations
7. Sharing
Personal information is not sold. Information may be shared with service providers only as needed to host the site, deliver synchronization, process donations, or comply with law. Squadron information may also be shared with the recipients selected by the squadron’s users or administrators.
8. Retention and Deletion
Local application data remains under the user’s control and may generally be removed through the application, browser profile, export/reset tools, or uninstall process. Email and support records are kept only as reasonably necessary. Cloud synchronization data may be retained for operational, security, backup, or delivery purposes according to the configuration of the service.
9. Security
Reasonable safeguards are used, but no device, network, email system, or cloud service can be guaranteed completely secure. Users and squadron administrators are responsible for protecting accounts, access codes, devices, exported files, and synchronization credentials.
10. Children
Vanguard C4 is not directed to children under 13, and personal information from children under 13 is not knowingly collected through the website.
11. Your Choices
You may request correction or deletion of information you sent directly by contacting JumpinKJ@gmail.com. For information controlled by a squadron administrator or a payment provider, contact that administrator or provider directly.
12. Changes
This policy may be updated as the website, Software, hosting, or synchronization services change. The “Last updated” date will be revised when material changes are published.
